MJ's kids to impress his hand, footprints at Graum

Michael Jackson never had the chance to have his hands and feet immortalized in the concrete in the forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood (probably because he was never really a movie star), but that hasn't stopped the executors of his estate and the new owners of the Chinese from making the impossible a reality.

On Jan. 26, Jackson will have his hand and footprints marked in concrete to celebrate the debut of the Cirque du Soleil production "Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour." The producers have recruited the late singer's children -- 14-year-old Prince, 13-year-old Paris and 9-year-old "Blanket" -- to use his sequined glove and shoes to make the impressions.

The ceremony is the latest to be held by the Chinese's new owners, movie producer Donald Kushner and entrepreneur Elie Samaha, who have removed some deteriorating slabs and replaced them with the hand and footprints of such luminaries as Jennifer Aniston, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Kobe Bryant and French DJ David Guetta. The Smurfs and the Chipmunks also got their paws and Smurf-hands set too, but those will not be displayed in the courtyard.

While fictional characters getting their prints set in concrete is nothing new (R2-D2 and C3PO did it years ago), it's the first time the guest of honor hasn't been alive for his or her own print ceremony.

The spate of new ceremonies has some in the film community harrumphing that the new inductees don't live up to the majesty and "for-the-ages"-ness of the Chinese's previous handprint honorees.

The new "Immortal" stage production combines Jackson's music with all kinds of Cirque du Soleil-style leaping and dancing. Or as the show's website describes it, the show "takes place in a fantastical realm where we discover Michael's inspirational Giving Tree -- the wellspring of his creativity. The secrets of Michael's inner world are unlocked -- his love of music and dance, fairy tale and magic, and the fragile beauty of nature."

Nothing celebrates the beauty of nature like a big slab of concrete.

Michael Jackson's Children: How Are They Doing?

As the two-and-a-half year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death approaches, the pop star's children are keeping busy carrying on his legacy.

Prince, Paris, and Blanket recently attended a taping of The X Factor, checked out the Las Vegas opening of Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil and the Michael Jackson Fan Fest memorabilia exhibit. And now Paris, 13, has landed her first acting role in the film Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys.

"They're doing well," their uncle Marlon tells PEOPLE.

Much of the credit for their happiness goes to their grandmother, Katherine, who has been raising the kids since their father's death. "My grandmother is 81, but she’s very hands-on," says their first cousin Genevieve, Randy's daughter.

While they may be mini-celebs with multimillion-dollar trust funds reportedly waiting for them when they turn 30 – their father's estate earned $445 million in the past two years alone, according to Forbes – the kids are leading relatively normal lives.

After years of home-schooling, Prince, 14, and Paris now attend a private school. "They love the social aspect of it," says a family insider, noting Prince is "a great student" and "really popular with the girls." Paris, meanwhile, plays on the boys' flag-football team but isn't dating. Explains the insider: "She's got too many uncles keeping an eye on her."

As for little brother Blanket (real name: Prince Michael II), 9, the shy boy is schooled at their seven-bedroom Calabasas, Calif., home, where he's also been getting an education in the kitchen. "He likes cooking," says the insider. "He'll make cakes and cupcakes. The staff chef helps him."

But the real passion for all three kids is entertainment. While Paris is focused on acting, her brothers are into filmmaking. "Prince and Blanket want to be directors," says Genevieve, a music artist. "They make home movies together and recruit their cousins to act in them.” She adds, "The cousins are all very close.”

Having that bond is how the Jackson 3 remain grounded, says their uncle Jackie. "They stay with the family. That's what it's about. We keep a close watch on them."

Conrad Murray Cuffed, Sentenced to Four Years

Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, was sentenced to four years in prison today for negligence that prosecutors said led to the pop icon's death in June of 2009.

Jackson's parents and siblings Jermaine, LaToya and Randy were present at today's sentencing, but did not speak, instead allowing family friend and attorney Brian Panish to read a statement on behalf of the Jackson's three children and family.

In the statement, Michael Jackson's children told the Los Angeles court that they lost their "father, best friend, and playmate" when the singer died, but stressed they were not seeking "revenge".

The statement asked the judge to "impose a sentence that reminds physicians they cannot sell their services to the highest bidder."

"As Michael's parents, we never imagined we would live to witness his passing," Panish read, on behalf of the singer's parents Katherine and Joe Jackson. "There is no way to describe the loss of our beloved brother, son, father and friend."

Judge Michael Pastor began the proceeding by rejecting a motion by Dr. Conrad Murray that cameras be evicted from the courtroom during his sentencing.

The district attorney asked for the maximum sentence of four years as well as $100 million -- the singer's projected earnings from the 50-show "This Is It" tour -- payable to the Jackson estate. The prosecution also asked Murray to pay $1.8 million in costs associated with Jackson's memorial service and funeral.

PPB Appear At Tribute Concert

"Michael Forever," the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday featured sets from Christina Aguilera, Jamie Foxx, Cee Lo Green and Ne-Yo, with a special surprise appearance from the late King of Pop's three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. Blanket).

Paris, Prince and Blanket introduced the video tribute to MJ from one of the night's biggest stars, Beyoncé, with Paris modeling one of her dad's signature red and black leather jackets and Blanket wearing another classic MJ look with a black suit and tie, accented by a red shirt and armband.

"She is always pushing the envelope with her boundless energy and talent," Paris said. "She carries the torch lit by our father and it gives me great pleasure to introduce this woman."

Appearing via pre-taped video and wearing a giant afro wig and silver mirrored catsuit, Beyoncé spoke of how inspirational Jackson had been to her career and sang "I Wanna Be Where You Are." The video appeared to have been shot during the singer's tour earlier this year, before she announced her pregnancy.

"I remember seeing Michael Jackson for the first time. Lord knows I fell in love. Watching him, I realized exactly what I wanted to be," Beyoncé said before her set. "He inspired me so much. As a matter of fact, the first song I performed with Destiny's Child was a Jackson 5 song. It's the song we auditioned to get our record deal. It was the beginning of our future. I love you forever, Michael Jackson."

Wearing a body-hugging corset, Aguilera did a spirited rendition of "Dirty Diana" and "Smile." Ne-Yo opened the show with "Billie Jean," Yolanda Adams took on a cover of "Earth Song" and R&B legends Smokey Robinson and Gladys Knight got together for a duet on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You." Cee Lo sang "I Can't Help It." The night also featured a number of Jackson-related acts, including Tito Jackson and his sons, 3T, who performed "Why" and "Heartbreak Hotel," as well as sister LaToya, appearing onstage for the first time in over two decades. One of the biggest reactions of the night was when British boy band JLS hooked up with Jackson brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie on the Jackson 5's "Blame It on the Boogie." Also on hand was Jackson's mother, Katherine.

One of the biggest names slated to take the stage, Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson, was a no-show. According to TMZ, Hudson had already been paid to perform, but the singer bailed on the gig because of "major production issues." Unnamed sources told the site that Hudson felt the show's producers hadn't given her enough time with the music she was supposed to sing; the song was not identified. The week before the show, one of the other big announced performers, the Black Eyed Peas, dropped off the bill as well, citing "unavoidable circumstances."

Among the other contributors: Pixie Lott sang "I Want You Back" and "You Are Not Alone," Alexandra Burke took on "Who's Loving You" and "Scream," Burke, Adams and Knight collaborated on "Gone Too Soon" and Leona Lewis did "I'll Be There" while surrounded by ballerinas dressed in white. Nineties rockers Alien Ant Farm did their signature take on "Smooth Criminal" as well as "PYT (Pretty Young Thing)," Foxx took a solo turn on "Rock With You," Craig David sang "Human Nature," Robinson tackled "She's Out of My Life" and the Diversity dance group did a medley of some of Jackson's greatest moves.

The show was hosted by Oscar winner Foxx, who took part in the finale, which featured Ne-Yo, LaToya, Tito, 3T, Robinson, Jackson's children, Alien Ant Farm, Knight, Burke and a number of Jackson grandchildren and great grandchildren busting out "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough."

According to Rolling Stone, the show at the 50,000-capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff was not quite sold out, with 40,000 superfans showing up to watch the gig, which took place on a giant stage in the shape of one of Jackson's signature white gloves.

The tribute went on despite protests from some of Jackson's family members who felt that the concert should not coincide with the involuntary manslaughter trial of the singer's doctor, Conrad Murray.

Someone posted a comment on here asking if this site has gotten approval from the Jackson family and that they were concerned about MJs kids being "exploited".

Idk what you mean by "approval". If they disapproved, I'm sure someone in their family would've mentioned it by now. I remember Genevieve Jackson (whose an adult, btw) saying on a live chat, that the family doesn't mind the sites.

I'm not the only one with a site on MJs kids! I cant believe 2 yrs later, I'm still catching hell for a harmless site that shows support - not exploitation. PPB are on the news now, 2 of them have Twitter and they said they want to be in entertainment industry. So stfu and stop asking me dumb questions.

I'm sorry I dont update as much and that the gallery is closed. Spammers attack it when I leave it open and then I have to go and delete them and their 100s of comments. I'm working on getting a captcha installed for it, as long as I dont lose the pics I already have there.

Anyway, here's a cute pic of Blanket:

PPB mark late singer's 53rd birthday in Gary

Michael Jackson's kids mark late singer's 53rd birthday in Gary, Indiana

Michael Jackson's three children made a rare public appearance this weekend in their father's hometown of Gary, Indiana as they and scores of fans celebrated what would have been the late King of Pop's 53rd birthday.

Prince Michael, 14, Paris, 13 and Blanket, 9, signed autographs and posed for pictures during the 3-day celebration, which was also attended by the singer's parents and their grandparents, Katherine and Joe Jackson.

"We've adjusted over the past years and I think that coming here and seeing our dad's old house and all the fans coming out ... I think it's really sweet that they did that," Paris Jackson told WLS Television, the sister station of KABC Television, parent company of OnTheRedCarpet.com.

Michael Jackson was born on Aug. 29, 1958. Joe Jackson, who maintained a strained relationship with the singer when he was alive, said he felt proud to see the outpouring of support for his son and added that Michael Jackson's youngest child, Blanket, may very well follow in his footsteps.

"They said there will never be another Michael Jackson but we have one - Blanket," Joe Jackson told WLS. "Blanket is just like Michael when Michael was young."

Blanket Jackson, his hair in a ponytail, appeared shy as he walked alongside his siblings. He said it was "good to see the place where our dad grew up."

After Michael Jackson died at age 50 on June 25, 2009 at his Los Angeles home, his children moved in with the singer's mother, who lives several miles away. The three have largely kept out of the spotlight but have spoken to the press occasionally.

Prince Michael said on "Good Morning America" in February that he would like to pursue a career in film production, saying that a UCLA teacher gave them private lessons at home. Katherine Jackson said her grandchildren often dress up and shoot home movies, adding that their interest in entertainment comes from their father.

Paris told WLS that she and her siblings have "adjusted" since their father's death, adding: "I think that coming here and seeing our dad's old house and all the fans coming out, I think it's really sweet that they did that."

She added that she would like her father to be remembered "as one of the greatest and nicest guys ever."

Michael Jackson is said to have died from an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives that were prescribed and administered by Conrad Murray, who pleaded not guilty in January to a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Jury selection for his trial is set to begin on September 8.

Check out interviews with the Jackson family below, courtesy of WLS Television.

Michael Jackson's Kids Spotted at Six Flags Magic

Michael Jackson's kids were spotted having a blast at Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park in Valencia, CA. All of MJ's children were present at the time: Prince, Paris, and Prince Michael Jackson II, a.k.a. Blanket. Prince even invited his supposed girlfriend, Niki Berger, along for the day.

The kids were all photographed enjoying the amusement park's rides and just having a good time. They weren't mobbed since no one seemed to have any idea who they were. In the end, that is exactly what MJ had wanted for his children. He just wanted them to have a normal life and a normal childhood.

Unfortunately, when Michael Jackson was alive, his children were unable to have that because everywhere they went, he was there. And sadly, there is no way people won't recognize MJ. It's good to see his children having at ease and loving life especially since Paris Jackson's Facebook account was recently hacked. Frighteningly, she had her personal photos released online! Poor thing!

SKETCHES by the late "King of Pop" together with a signed portrait of the entertainer will decorate the walls of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Michael Jackson's children - Prince, 14; Paris, 13; and Prince Michael, who is also known as "Blanket," - delivered 10 pieces of art by their famous father to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

The children also signed some of the artwork by their late father, who died on June 25, 2009 at age 50.

The artwork was donated by Brett-Livingstone Strong, an artist and friend of the Jackson family, who had them in his private collection.

"You look at this, it makes you happy," said Michael Jackson's sister La Toya Jackson at a ceremony at the hospital.

"They're whimsical, they're magical and there's just joy and peace," she said.

"I know that when you see this and the kids see it, it will bring some type of joy to them, and at the same time, I know it will bring joy to my brother as well."

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Jackson's mother Katherine also attended the ceremony.

Today is the 2 yr anniversary of Blanket-Jackson.com! I cant believe this site has been 2 yrs of my life, already. I've never had a site that's lasted more than 6 months so this is a huge accomplishment. :)

I'll have a new layout very soon - as soon as the person making it is done, I'll upload it.
I'm also adding new avatars, photos, and changing some sections.

Thank you all for coming here!

Police Question 2 Men Allegedly Following Jackson Children

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles police questioned and released two men after they were accused of following a car carrying at least one of Michael Jackson’s children.

Police received a call Tuesday indicating the men were paparazzi and had allegedly been driving recklessly while following the Jackson car.

In video obtained by CBS2 and KCAL9, the two men can be seen being released after authorities conducted an investigation.

Officers say they could not arrest or cite the men because they had not witnessed the alleged traffic violations themselves.

State law can mean up to a year in jail for anyone convicted of driving recklessly while trying to capture video or pictures.

Feels like yesterday, but it's already been two years since the passing of Michael.

I uploaded 30 pics of PPB going to the movies on June 23rd. There are more pics out there, but I only added the ones where you can see Blanket. :)

I still want a new layout for this site - I've had this one for a year now - but I've been busy with life to even have this site how I'd like it. I'l get to it, though.

I still want a new layout for this site—I’ve had this one for a year now—but I’ve been busy with life to even have this site how I’d like it. I’l get to it, though.

SMILING in the sunshine, Michael Jackson's kids Prince and Paris share a tender moment - almost two years to the day after their father died.

The late King Of Pop's son and daughter were spotted looking care-free on their way to a cinema in California.

The heart-warming scene - which would have made their late father proud - comes on the eve of the anniversary of Jacko's shock death.

The singer was 50 when he died on June 25, 2009 - just days before he was due to begin a record-breaking 50-night run at London's O2 Arena.

His personal doctor Conrad Murray is currently on trial, accused of killing the singer.

He is alleged to have given the star a lethal dose of Propofol after administering a cocktail of drugs.

The 57-year-old medic denies a charge of voluntary manslaughter and could face up to four years in prison if convicted.

But the star's children are clearly now able to enjoy a well-deserved respite from the on-going battles over their father's untimely death.

Prince 14, and Paris, 13, were the result of the singer's brief marriage to dermatology nurse Deborah Rowe.

Jacko and Rowe tied the knot in 1997 but were divorced just two years later.

Jackson, subsequently, got full custody of his son and daughter.

In 2002 his final child Prince Michael II was born.

The identity of the nine-year-old's mother has never been revealed.

At the time of his death Jacko was facing crippling financial pressures.

He had originally only agreed to perform 10 dates at the East London venue as a way of swiftly righting his perilous situation.

Their grandparents have always been strictly religious - and it seems that Michael Jackson's children are now having to go to church on Sundays as part of their new 'normal' life.

Paris 13, Prince, 14 and Blanket, nine, were seen looking incredibly smart as they accompanied their grandmother Katherine Jackson, their legal guardian, to a Jehovah's Witness chapel at the weekend for worship.

Jackson himself was a Christian and had pledged to bring up his children with God in their lives and it looks like his family is continuing his wishes.

Blanket - real name Prince Michael Jackson II - even had his long hair tied back in a ponytail as a mark of respect as they prepared to join the Woodland Hills Congregation in Los Angeles.

He is said to have his hair that length in tribute to his father who liked it long.

Blanket was dressed in a very grown-up white shirt with a dark suit and tie that looked like he had a bit of room to grow into.
Prince - real name Michael Joseph Jackson Jr - meanwhile was seen getting the collar of his smart two-piece neatened up by a family friend.

Paris - real name Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson - meanwhile was in a modest black long-sleeve shift dress with white embroidery around the hem, collar and cuffs, worn with sandals.

Their father the King Of Pop died on 25 June 2009 aged 50 and the whole Jackson clan have been mucking in since to make their lives as normal as possible.
As well as going to church in public for the first time, they now go to school.

And as reported by the Mail Online last week, they also go to afterschool drama class near their LA home.

In February, the children gave an interview on U.S. television and said they even fancied following their late father into showbusiness.

However, 80-year-old grandmother Katherine, and their aunt La Toya, 54, who's closely involved in their upbringing, want them to live as normal a life as possible before any attempt to launch themselves fully into the public eye.
La Toya said in March: said of her nephews and niece in March: ‘They have gone to school and they really like it, so I’m very happy for them. It’s taught them something totally different about people and life.'

She also revealed they recently donated clothes to help Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims.

She said: They said they don’t mind doing and giving whatever. It was so sweet. They say, ‘Can we give our clothes to them?’ It’s really sweet.”

LaToya explained: 'My brother, their father, was just giving to everybody – $400 million of his personal money he gave to charity, and I support every penny of it.

'I think it’s very important for them to know what their father has done and to follow that legacy and to keep in their heart and mind to give always.'
